Independent Chair

Dave Smith
Chair – Bootle South Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board

I am incredibly honoured to have been appointed as Chair of the Bootle South Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.

This is a major opportunity for our community and one that genuinely has the potential to make a lasting difference to the people and places of Bootle South over the next decade.

Pride in Place is a long-term Government-backed programme that will see up to £20 million invested into the area over the next 10 years. More importantly though, this programme is designed to put local people at the centre of shaping that future.

For me personally, that is what matters most.

Board Member Recruitment

We are seeking people with a strong personal connection to Bootle South to join the Independent Neighbourhood Board.

We are seeking a broad range of voices and perspectives, to ensure that the Independent Neighbourhood Board is representative of the local community.

  • Have ideas and like to find solutions to local issues.

  • Can regularly attend and actively participate in Neighbourhood Board meetings and, where required, are happy to help with the wider work of the Board (beyond the meetings).

  • Are committed to longer-term involvement.

Reasonable expenses and support arrangements will be considered to help ensure participation is accessible to everyone.
